Quilting Club meets every Thursday!
Christmas of 2003, we made lap quilts for some of the local shut-ins, and gave them out before Christmas.Well, it kind of caught on and we ended up making a weekly thing of it.
Lately, we have actually made some big quilts, and at least try to learn a new block, or new pattern each time.
One week, we made coasters, and we may even have an art night one night.
The quilt group meets every Thursday night at 6:30 PM in the new Fellowship Hall
beside the church. We have 12 people who come regularly, but this event is open
to the public and we would welcome anyone who wants to join.
Some come to sew while others come for the stimulating conversations.

Quilter Update!
The Watson Quilters have been busy in 2009.We've made quilts for Hamburg Band Carnival,
to raise money for 'After Prom' Parties
for the Hamburg and Rock Port schools.
We made a 'Crazy Quilt' that will be auctioned off
to raise money for the Watson Baptist Food Pantry.
We are currently working on auction quilts to raise money for
Hamburg food pantry, and Rock Port Fireworks.
We also are making a "Welcome Home" quilt
for Dena Johnson, who had a fire last fall and is moving back soon.
